Vocal coach
He has studied singing with Edward Brooks, Graziella Sciutti and Roger Vignoles at the Royal College of Music of London.
In master classes he worked with Suzanne Danco, Iana Papandopoulo, Hugues Guénod, Martin Isep, Tom Krause, Renata Scotto and Ruben Lifschitz.
In October 2001, after his return from Great Britain, fascinated by the fundamental role that vocal technique has in the career of an artist, he created the “Cours Raphael Sikorski”.
Raphael Sikorski has been working for several years with the American Maestro David Jones. Since 2004, he has been the vocal coach associated with the “Laboratoire de la voix”, run by Doctor Elisabeth Fresnel. He often gives lectures at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, including seminars dealing with public speaking.
For several years he has been teaching training courses for lyric singers who are preparing auditions (AFDAS conventions).
His next training course will be held in May 2016.
In 2011, he created the festival “Les Nuits de Chéronne” in Le Perche Sarthois.
The Sixth edition will take place in August 2016. Raphael Sikorski is both a mentor for young professional singers and the trainer of huge stars of lyric singing.
Among the artists he works with are Nathalie Dessay, Rolando Villazon, Marie-Ange Todorovitch, Nahuel di Pierro, Vito Priante, Sébastien Guéze, Gaélle Méchaly and Sophie Ponjiclis. We may also mention Herbert Perry, Gaëlle Leroy, Edwige Bourdy, Anne Rodier, Christine Rigaud, Francisco Fernandez-Rueda, Jacques Lemaire, Jean-François Novelli, Juan Sancho, Sébastien Lemoine and also Viannet Guyonnet.
Since January 2013, he has been the vocal coach of the Academie de Jeunes Chanteurs de l’Opéra Comique.
Raphaël Sikorski is also regularly invited for masterclasses in France and abroad (Corso d’Opera di Montepulciano in Tuscany, Opera Na Tela festival in Rio de Janeiro…)
